If I were to create an album, the track listing in random order would probably look something like this--

1. The Soldier's Latin
2. Fly, Vespertilio
3. Father to Son
4. Do you Love?
5. Poseidon
6. I used to believe
7. House of the Rising Sun (Cover)
8. Sammi's Song
9. Something about Angels
10. Your Frankenstein
11. The Wonderful Machine

Only 8 of those are completed (including the cover.) One of them is even on piano! I used to believe, and Poseidon are almost completed, just haven't stood the test of time and some tweaking is needed. Wonderful Machine and something about Angels are just babies still.

Still! I'm pretty impressed. No fillers in the lot of them. I's like.

Deviant art HILARITY. [02 Aug 2009|07:30pm]
My half hour long escapades of Deviantart:

So I uploaded about six of my rotoscopes to deviant art. Clouds, two I haven't posted here yet, Sammi's original, the park bench, and my self portrait thing. In that fifteen minute span started getting favorited and commented on like MAD.

I told Lester, I thought it was hilarious. He informed me that people often jack Deviantart. I immediately took them all down, taking another fifteen minutes. Left a quick journal entry saying I'll be back once better prepared.

So, bad news, some of my rotoscopes might be pawned off around the internet, claimed by someone else. Gay.

Good news: People really like them, holy crap. I got about 20 messages and favorites and comments in a half hour.

This makes me really excited. I should get a website going, sign my rotoscopes with some sort of unErasable signature, and put them back up on Deviant art. Get some buzz going for the comic, because apparently people were eating that up. Actually have some people prepared to read the comic. How cool would that be?

So... where the hell should I get a website where my shit could be set up and not jacked? Any suggestions?

I am writing this under heavy sleep deprivation [26 Jul 2009|12:57pm]
So I figured out my computer can run photoshop. Go figure.

And since I realized I have exactly no decent rotoscopes of me since I started doing them again, I did one. I really like it.

This new experimental style is hilarious awesome.

I'm about a third of the way through, "I hope they serve beer in hell."

I just erupted into laughter, tears and all, and couldn't stop for like 10 minutes.

Holy shit that book is awesome.

Comic #1's very first draft is officially completed. 52 pages long.

It's written as a movie script. So that's like, an hour long, if it was a movie. Pretty good feeling. Almost the size of a television pilot. But better!

Tomorrow, the long revision process begins

Tonight, success.

Birthday shindig. [06 Jul 2009|04:02pm]
He is Legend playing at the Key Club on July 21st. This will be my "23rd birthday party." Why the hell not. Tickets are 13 at the door (risky) or $25 off ticketmaster for their bullshit convenience charge.

If you like He is Legend, you should come. If you like going to my birthday party, you should come. If you like both, what are you waiting for!?

Not that I can do anything with these on the computer I'm using now, but I found two almost-complete rotoscopes I was working on before Chris moved out. Enjoy.

Semi complete rotoscopesCollapse )

The entire story for the samurai comic is written (all 24ish comics what happens in them) losely, and fab and I just finished plot pointing the first seven comics (Act 1 out of four). Fuck yes. Now we just start with the scene by scene, dialoge, and actually drawing up the comics. After that we shoot. Then we draw. Then we have a comic.

Shooting will probably be hard, but the hardest part of pre-production is over.

Fuck. Yes. Time to celebrate at Denny's.

I had a 4.0 GPA last semester. Haha, both my psychology and my History class I got A's in.

Mother fucking YES.

Who cares it's two classes. Two HARD classes after two years of no school and my first 4.0 ever.

Oh yeah, I just built the worlds worst computer out of spare parts.

Windows 95, 6 gig hard drive, 64 mb of RAM, intergrated sound and video cards, and a SEPERATE SLOT for DSL/cable internet access. Livejournal is like the only website it can coherently load.

Life is good.
